Understanding the crisis through cutting-edge reporting and cutting-edge technology
The cross-border attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023 and Israel’s counterattack have resulted in a serious humanitarian crisis. The Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies at the University of Tokyo is collaborating with the Middle Eastern news organization Al Jazeera and the American University of Beirut (AUB) to promote international collaborative research to re-present and disseminate the war damage in Gaza using advanced technology.
