Bringing “Nagasaki’s Memories” to the future with technology and the power of the younger generation.
On August 9, 2024, we will mark the 79th anniversary of the atomic bombing. Hidenori Watanabe Laboratory of the University of Tokyo Graduate School, Japan Council of Atomic and Hydrogen Bomb Victims’ Groups, Japan Federation of Consumers’ Cooperatives, Nagasaki Prefecture Consumers’ Cooperatives Federation, and Nagasaki Kokusai Television Co., Ltd. are jointly organizing the Future Peace Activities Exhibition ~Connecting through Technology'' The World will be held. This exhibition is an updated version of the
Mirai Peace Activities” exhibition held at Hiroshima Television Headquarters last August.
Along with a new generation of peace activity content that utilizes technologies such as digital twins and VR, an exhibition that conveys the disaster situation in conflict areas around the world such as Ukraine and the Gaza Strip, an atomic bomb photo exhibition by the Japan Council of Atomic and Hydrogen Bomb Victims’ Organizations, and Nagasaki International Television You can experience peace content and more. On August 5th and 6th, we will also hold a workshop called Let's learn about Nagasaki's history with the educational version of Minecraft,'' which will deepen your understanding of Nagasaki's history through
Minecraft,” which is popular among children around the world.
Through this exhibition, we will create a place where visitors can see, touch, and feel the “Nagasaki” that has been handed down from the past, and connect it to the future.
